Noble Architect: Creating the Future of Inclusive, Pet-Friendly Design

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Noble Alliance is proud to announce the launch of Noble Architect—an exciting new competition designed to inspire the next generation of architects to create inclusive, innovative living environments where families, communities, and their pets can thrive together. This initiative builds on our mission to foster sustainable, positive change by promoting spaces that embrace the essential needs of multi-species families and their communities.

A Vision for Shared Habitats

At the core of Noble Alliance’s work is the idea of Shared Habitats—living spaces where humans, pets, and animals coexist harmoniously. Our goal is to create environments that are not only functional and inclusive but that also allow for all members of the family, including pets, to live, grow, and flourish together. As cities and communities evolve, we aim to reimagine urban spaces that cater to the needs of both people and their beloved animals, supporting a truly inclusive future for all.

What is Noble Architect?

Noble Architect is a design competition aimed at encouraging innovation in the architecture of homes that are specifically adapted for elderly or disabled pets. The competition invites architecture students to submit designs for a home that fosters an inclusive environment where pets, regardless of age or ability, can comfortably live alongside their human families.

“We are looking for forward-thinking, compassionate designs that reflect our belief in the power of inclusive living,” says Vera Gualdi, Co-founder and Vice President of Noble Alliance. “This competition is not only about architecture but about changing the way we think about our homes, living spaces and communities, creating spaces where all family members—human and animal alike—are valued and supported.”

What Are the Objectives of the Competition?

Noble Architect is designed to achieve several key goals:

  • Encourage Innovation: We want to inspire creative and innovative solutions for designing homes that meet the specific needs of elderly or disabled pets. We believe that architecture can play a central role in improving the quality of life for both humans and animals.

  • Raise Awareness: The competition aims to sensitize future architects to the importance of designing spaces that take into account the unique requirements of elderly and disabled animals, ensuring that pets are given the consideration they deserve in modern design.

  • Promote Inclusivity: The competition will highlight the importance of creating inclusive urban environments—homes and communities that are not only welcoming to pets but also designed to ensure their well-being and comfort.

Prizes and Recognition

The winning designs will be awarded significant recognition, including the prestigious title of Noble Architect, presented by Noble Alliance Geneva. The winners will also receive widespread visibility for their work, showcasing their talent and innovative thinking to the world.
